Estimated Costs for Exchange Students

Exchange agreements, by definition, rely on a formal agreement between a sending institution and DKU to allow a reciprocal “exchange” of students in any given semester or year. Students from DKU pay tuition to DKU, and students from the sending institution pay tuition to their home college or university.

Exchange partnerships are carefully considered by both DKU and the exchange institution, and take time to establish. If an existing exchange agreement with your home institution and DKU is not currently in place, you may still apply to DKU as a visiting non-exchange student.

For nominated exchange students from existing exchange partners:

  • DKU will invoice students in USD for expenses marked “billable” in the table below. These expenses are paid directly to DKU, in USD.
  • ‘Non-billable’ expenses are not billed by DKU; students should use these estimates as a guide for additional, reasonable expenses associated with a semester of study and life at DKU. These categories include costs that may vary by nationality and location, including visa fees and roundtrip airfare.
