Application & Commitment Steps
The application to study at Duke for the 2026-2027 academic year is now open and will close on October 9 at 11:59 AM China Standard Time (CST). This portal provides an overview of the application and enrollment process. To view the full Application Guide, please refer to the email announcement or click the button at the bottom of this page. Please ensure you read the guide thoroughly and apply according to the instructions (application link included).

Confirm Your Eligibility
The application for Duke AY26-27 opens to students with an expected graduation term of Fall 2027, Spring 2028 and Fall 2028. Study away policies and other conditions apply (per application guide).

Receive Acceptance/Rejection Notice
Students will be assigned to Fall or Spring Duke Semester.

Complete Commitment Requirements
1) Sign the DKU and Duke Participation Agreements
2) Pay $1,000 USD non-refundable deposit, which will be applied towards Duke charges.
3) Complete an Interest Survey for a Potential Summer Study Away at Duke.
*Please note that participation in this survey is not related to, nor does it influence, your Duke application for the Academic Year 2026-2027.

US J-1 Visa Application
Students who are not US citizens and do not hold US Permanent Resident Card, need to take heed of emails from DODR and follow J-1 visa guide to take further actions.

Monitor Announcements on Visa Processing, Course Registration, etc.
Additional information will continue to be required; all applicants are required to check emails frequently and respond to requests for information. Admitted students who are late in submitting required forms will be dropped from the program.
